Donde!

On Friday we ditched tessa (and started missing her immediately!) and spent some quality time doing laundry and mailing I heart NY T-shirts home. Tessa´s place in our hostel room was taken by some crazy Chinese guy who woke us up when he arrived sometime after 1am, in order to tell us that he would be getting up at 6am next day. We were delighted, especially as we´d gone to bed early as we had to catch a bus to the airport at 6am too. The next morning his alarm clock went off about a hundred times before he decided to get his stuff together while sitting in the top bunk of the squeakiest bed in New York. Then he wanted to have a heart-to-heart with Chris while we were frantically packing and the poor fourth occupant of the room was still trying vainly to sleep.

So anyway, we managed to reach the bus on time (Chris says he saw a couple getting jiggy with it on 45th St as we were walking to the bus station but I didn´t see a thing). We then took a flight via San Salvador to Guatemala City.

When we got to Guatemala city we exited to a bunch of press who sadly weren't there to document our arrival but were there for the Guatemala football club who had also just arrived. I'm sure that Becky and I were on the Guatemalan evening news because we were just wandering in and out of the crowd looking for a bus to Antigua. We've been in Antigua for two days now and it's really picturesque, exactly what we expected to find: random stray dogs wandering the streets, tiny fella's wearing cowboy hats, 15 people in the back of a truck, etc.

Another thing, in Guatemala, Chris is A GIANT! He can see for miles!
