WMDr

We signed up to cycle the worlds most dangerous road also known as the 'Death Road' yesterday with a company called Downhill Madness (highly recommended). It starts at about 4,700m above sea level and is 65km long ending at around 1,100m. It´s an old road linking La Paz to Coroico. It´s a VERY thin road down through the mountains with a sheer drop of up to 250m at times and you can really book it down. Luckily there were two landslides on the road which meant that cars couldn´t pass but mountain bikes could so we didn´t need to worry much about traffic. We all had an awesome time and we got a free 'I survived the death road' t-shirt!

Woozy on adrenaline from the mountain biking I decided to go for another free t-shirt. This time it was the 'I survived the Worlds most dangerous vindaloo' t-shirt. Didn´t get this one unfortunately. It was mostly chilli seeds and tomato sauce. One guy that ordered it took one bite and asked for the menu again. First time in my life I´ve been defeated by a curry :( I like to think it had more to do with the sheer quantity than the loco spicyness. I wanted to miss lunch and go back for round two today but Becky vetoéd that idea pretty sharpish.

We´ve spent today mostly trying to organise how to get to Uyuni to start a tour of the Uyuni Salt flats. We´re off to San Pedro Prison tomorrow and then a night bus Uyuni.
